Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites ramp up striker hunt amid Che Adams verdict

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Thursday, August 4.

Leeds United told tipped to sign Che Adams to help ease Patrick Bamford burden

Former Premier League frontman Kevin Campbell believes Che Adams would be a good signing for Leeds United as the Whites look to ease the burden on Patrick Bamford. Jesse Marsch's side missed the goals of Bamford and there have been reports linking Adams with a move to Elland Road this summer.

Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell said: "I like Che Adams. He is a good player, a strong player who scores goals. Yes, he scores goals in bunches at times but he is a handful.

“Leeds could do with someone at the top end of the pitch who is physical and can get hold of the ball. That is what they lacked when Bamford was injured last season. They need another striker who can occupy centre-halves.

“I think that would be a good signing for them.”

Andrea Radrizzani delivers 'wonderful' Crysencio Summerville verdict

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has not hidden his admiration for Whites prospect Crysencio Summerville after he penned a new deal at Elland Road. The Dutch playmaker took to Instagram to thank the club and expressed how grateful he was for the opportunity.

Summerville wrote, “Grateful and proud to extend my contract at this beautiful club. Ready for what’s coming. All glory to God."

Radrizzani commented, “Amen. A wonderful boy in a glorious club.”

Leeds United 'make offer' for PSG striker as Whites look to steal march on Newcastle

Leeds United have made an offer in the region of €20 million for PSG striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to Media Foot Marseille. They claim that the Whites have looked to steal a march on Newcastle United with reports suggesting Kalimuendo is unconvinced by the Magpies' project despite their interest.

PSG sporting director Luis Campos is open to selling Kalimuendo this summer as he sits behind Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Mauro Icardi and new signing Hugo Ekitike in the pecking order. Campos is keen to receive between €20 and €25 million for Kalimuendo, so it looks as though Leeds' offer is a decent starting point.

Leeds have earmarked him as someone who could strengthen their forward line and if reports are to be believed, have accelerated their interest after losing out on Charles de Ketelaere to AC Milan. Kalimuendo is a different type of attacker to de Ketelaere but would provide another quality option on top of Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt.
