Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites pull out of winger deal with £11m move tipped

Leeds United continue to plough forward with their summer transfer plans behind the scenes at Elland Road

The Whites are optimistic about acquiring all their summer acquisitions by the end of June, as per director of football Victor Orta, who insisted they're on track to have all their signings through the door for pre-season.

That proactive approach in the market means there could be incomings very shortly to bolster Marcelo Bielsa's squad for next season.

With the transfer rumour mill swirling, plenty of names are being touted with a move to Elland Road.

LeedsLive have collated the most recent Leeds United transfer rumours from across Europe.

Leeds pull out of Wilson race

Leeds United have reportedly pulled out of the race for Harry Wilson.

The winger, named in Rob Page's Wales squad, is back with Liverpool following on from a successful loan spell at Cardiff last season.

However, he is expected to be sold this summer, with Jurgen Klopp keen on cashing in for the former Derby County loanee.

A host of clubs have previously shown an interest, with one of them believed to be Leeds but Football Insider claim they're no longer tracking the Welshman.

Harrison tipped to complete £11m deal

Noel Whelan has claimed Jack Harrison will sign for Leeds United in an £11m deal.

“I think the deal is £11million,” Whelan told Football Insider.

“That’s what was agreed. It was £2million on the £9million from last season when we took him on loan.

“It’s an absolute snip. He is Leeds United now. He’s been here for years now, it’s his home.

“We saw progression last season and how important he is. I think he’ll be pushing for an England call up in the near future.

“If he keeps putting in those levels of performance with assists and goals and his overall game then we have a massive bargain on our hands.

“If you look at the wings, Raphinha and Harrison, that’s not even £30million for the two of them. A real bargain.”

Leeds urged to sign Pereira

Former West Brom striker Kevin Phillips believes Matheus Periera would suit a move to Leeds United.

“I think it (signing Pereira) would suit their style,” former West Brom striker Phillips told Football Insider.

“Leeds are an exciting, free-flowing team, you can express yourself in that side.

“We’ve seen that with players like Raphinha and Jack Harrison this year, that they can just go and play with freedom, but you have to be prepared to work your socks off and that’s something Pereira would have to take to another level.

“But it’s no surprise that a player like that, of that mould and ilk, is being linked with Leeds.”
