Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites linked with Euro 2016-winning Champions League star

Here are your morning Leeds United transfer rumours on Monday, 20 March.

Leeds linked with Guerreiro after talks stall

Leeds United are reportedly eying up a move for Borussia Dortmund star Raphael Guerreiro in a bid to bolster their options at left-back.

Guerreiro made his name during Portugal's Euro 2016-winning campaign when he was shortlisted for the Young Player of the Tournament award.

He made the move to Dortmund that summer and has been an ever-present for BVB since, making 215 appearances across all competitions during a seven-year spell at the Signal Iduna Park.

However, his time with the German giants could now be drawing to a close with contract talks said to have stalled in recent months.

According to Football Insider, Leeds are plotting a move for Guerreiro after, initially, attempting to sign him in January. The report does, however, state that relegation would end any potential pursuit.

Javi Gracia drops Jack Harrison transfer hint

Leeds United boss Javi Gracia has stressed that Jack Harrison is the ‘future of the club’ despite being linked with a move away from Elland Road recently.

The former Manchester City man netted his third goal of the season on Saturday as the Whites secured a vital 4-2 win at relegation rivals Wolves.

While Harrison has been a predominant figure at Elland Road since joining in 2018, he came close to leaving for Leicester City on transfer deadline day and is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer.

Nevertheless, Garcia suggested that Harrison's future lies at Elland Road, saying in his post-match press conference: “I'm happy with Jack because he can play in different roles and always plays well.

[He's] Always at a high level. [He's the] Kind of player we have to take care of because they are the present and future of the club.”
