Leeds United transfer rumours as the Whites face competition in battle for PSG starlet

Here are your latest Leeds United transfer rumours for Sunday, May 7.

'First offer tabled' for Leeds-linked defender

Reports in France claim that Eintracht Frankfurt have tabled a bid for Leeds-linked defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu ahead of a potential summer transfer tussle.

The highly-rated 17-year-old defender has already made 11 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain's first-team after earning his Ligue 1 debut in December and even featured in their UEFA Champions League campaign this season.

Several clubs, including Leeds, are said to have been tracking the Frenchman, but it appears Frankfurt have made the first move.

According to Foot Mercato, the German outfit have made an offer for Bitshiabu, as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract at Le Parc des Princes.

Injury paves the way for Leeds star to complete exit

Football insider claims that an injury to Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira means that the Cottagers are likely to make a permanent move for on-loan Leeds United attacker Dan James in the summer.

Pereira will miss the rest of the season and faces a hefty spell on the sidelines after being stretchered off in Fulham's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

James completed a move to Craven Cottage on deadline day last summer in a bid for regular first-team football and whilst he has not been a regular in West London, the 25-year-old has recently been exposed to more minutes in the absence of Aleksandar Mitrovic, even scoring in an away win against Everton.

And after the same source revealed that the two clubs had previously opened talks over a possible deal, they state the chances of a permanent swoop for James 'will be enhanced' should Pereira remain injured for a significant time.

Former Leeds hero 'considering' Premier League return

Ex-Leeds attacker Raphinha is 'considering' quitting Barcelona this summer, according to reports in Sport, just one year after completing a move away from Elland Road.

The Brazilian has recently been linked to Newcastle United, and sources claim that Arsenal and Chelsea remain interested in acquiring his services after losing out to Blaugrana last summer.

With Ousmane Dembele set to return from injury and a sensational return for Lionel Messi rumoured to be on the horizon, Raphinha is thought to be concerned about his playing time at Camp Nou.

The 26-year-old could also be a victim of Barcelona's escalating financial problems, which may compel the La Liga giants to sell players this summer in order to buy anyone.
