Leeds United transfer rumours as Norwich City 'interested' in Leeds United centre-back in January

Here are your Leeds United transfer news and rumours on Saturday, October 15.

Norwich City 'interested' in Leeds United centre-back in January

Norwich City are reportedly interested in Leeds United centre-back Charlie Cresswell after the 20-year-old's impressive loan spell at Millwall this season.

Cresswell has become something of a goalscoring defender, after netting three times this season for the Lions but hasn't featured in the side's last two games.

The 20-year-old made a handful of appearances for Leeds' senior team in the Premier League last season and his form in the Championship has caught the eye of Norwich according to journalist Alan Nixon.

According to Nixon, Norwich are looking to monitor the progress of the centre-back but it's believed that Cresswell is part of Leeds' long-term plans after his performances.

However, Nixon believes that if that changes at all, the Canaries will take the chance to pounce for the defender but it would certainly be a big surprise if the Whites sold Cresswell.

Jesse Marsch 'is looking' for new signings according to transfer insider

Jesse Marsch is looking to make 'a couple of signings' in January according to transfer insider Dean Jones. The American boss made eight signings in his first summer transfer window with the Whites and his recruitment has proved to be excellent so far, with standouts including Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson.

Leeds even missed out on multiple deadline day signings including the likes of Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven and have been linked with the likes of Blackburn Rovers' Ben Brereton Diaz in recent weeks.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones highlighted the steps Marsch would need to build up his squad and that he'll look to bolster the Whites squad in the winter window.

"There are still steps to be made in this squad build. I know that Jesse Marsch is looking to make a couple of signings in that January window, and I think that those signings will help with this need to remain competitive."
