Leeds United transfer rumours as Newcastle linked with summer move for Crysencio Summerville

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Tuesday, April 24.

Newcastle 'plot move' for Crysencio Summerville

Newcastle are also said to be plotting a move for Leeds United's breakout star Crysencio Summerville in the summer.

That is according to Football Insider, who also claim Bundesliga table-toppers Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs monitoring the Netherlands under-21 international's situation.

Both clubs are said to be ready to pounce for Summerville, should Leeds be relegated from the Premier League. The 21-year-old has four goals and two assists to his name this season.

Leeds United in race to sign Senegal international

La Città di Salerno claims Leeds United are among a number of clubs keen on signing Salernitana star Boulaye Dia this summer. The Senegal international is currently on loan from Villarreal and the Serie A side have an option to make his stay permanent for €12m.

Dia has scored 11 goals and notched six assists from 28 league games this season, with the Whites, Everton and AC Milan reportedly keen on a move this summer. The two Premier League sides are said to have been keeping an eye on Dia for months but any attempt to sign the striker will be hindered by Salernitana and the player himself.

The Serie A side are keen on exercising the option to make his loan deal permanent. Dia is one goal away from matching Marco Di Vaio’s 12 goals in the 1998/99 season. which are the most goals scored by a player at Selernitana.

AS Roma in talks with Leeds over Diego Llorente deal

Reports in Italy claim AS Roma are hoping to negotiate a cheaper deal with Leeds United to sign Diego Llorente this summer. Giallorossi.net claim the Serie A side deem the €18m purchase option inserted into his current loan deal, is too excessive.

The centre-back has become a key component in Jose Mourinho's defence, where they have conceded one goal from the last four games. The Spaniard struggled initially to break his way into the side after joining in January, but has made a good impression in recent weeks.

The report claims Roma chief Tiago Pinto is ‘already in contact’ with Leeds and are ready to negotiate a cheaper fee. Llorente is said to be happy to stay at AS Roma, with the Whites struggling at the foot of the Premier League table.
