Leeds United transfer rumours as New French defender named and Ryan Kent blow imminent

Leeds United take on Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday, with Marcelo Bielsa's team looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Whites were beaten by Brighton last weekend after a largely underwhelming display from the visitors at the Amex Stadium.

However, all in all, it's been a superb season for the Yorkshire club as they look to establish themselves as a Premier League regular once again.

The summer transfer window could be key in doing just that, with their rivals likely to strengthen their squads before the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

With this being said, LeedsLive have rounded up the latest transfer rumours and stories from around Europe.

Talks held to sign Kvaratskhelia

According to Soccer.ru, Leeds are interested in signing Rubin Kazan star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer.

The report from Russia states that Victor Orta has already held talks with Kvaratskhelia's representatives over a potential move to Elland Road at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form for the Russian Premier League side this season, but a move could be complicated ever so slightly.

A work permit could be an issue for the Georgian winger although it is probably he would pass the threshold test. As well as this, there are a host of other clubs credited with an interest, including: Inter Milan, Atalanta, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Monaco, Juventus and AC Milan.

Leeds eye move for Lens defender

Leeds are one of multiple clubs interested in a move for RC Lens centre-back Loic Bade this summer, according to French outlet ActuFoot.

The report from France states that there is fierce competition for Bade's signature, with Lyon, Rennes, AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach also keen.

As well as this, they cite Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo, who claim that Villarreal and Sevilla are ready to step up their pursuit of the 21-year-old.

Bade has played 30 times for Lens this season and his form for the Ligue 1 club has apparently attracted interest from all over the continent.

Rangers' Kent stance revealed

Rangers want to tell Leeds to "get lost" for another season at least, with the Yorkshire club reportedly keen on Ryan Kent, according to the Daily Record.

Steven Gerrard's side are planning on offering Kent a new contract to stay at Ibrox, which will indicate to the Whites that they are not willing to sell the former Liverpool winger.

The report claims that Rangers have already told Leeds that the attacker is not up for sale, but they are still prepared for bids from the Premier League club in the summer.

Gerrard 'wants Kent on board for the Champions League assault next term' and the Scottish Premiership champions are willing to offer him a pay rise to persuade him to stick around.
