Leeds United transfer rumours as new club surface in Raphinha chase and release clause emerges

Raphinha chase

Borussia Dortmund appear to be the latest club to express an interest in signing Leeds United talisman Raphinha this summer, according to Eurosport.

The winger has enjoyed a stellar first campaign of Premier League football and has previously attracted tentative links from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Raphinha is contracted to Leeds United until 2024 though, and has shown no signs of wishing to depart Elland Road just yet, having played in front of home supporters just once, on the final day of the season.

Leeds fans have been enamoured by the sprightly Brazilian who routinely records more sprints than any other player on the pitch in any given game.

Javi Galan release clause

Leeds United may call on Victor Orta to utilise his contacts book in order to beat one of his former employers to a signing this summer.

While there has so far been just one indication that the club are no longer pursuing Romain Perraud, LeedsLive understands the Frenchman remains of interest to Leeds United, having tracked his progress throughout 2020/21.

An alternative to Perraud may in fact be Huesca full-back Javi Galan, though.

Orgullo de Nervion claim that Galan's release clause has halved to £4 million given that Huesca have been relegated from La Liga. The 26-year-old was one of the club's most consistent and regular performers in La Liga last season.

Over the course of the campaign he became renowned for his intensity, pressing and tackling, as well as his ardent and effective ball-carrying.

Interest in Georgian winger

Spanish outlet TodoFichajes.com claim Juventus and Sevilla are among the clubs interested in signing Khvicha Kvaratshkelia this summer, following a promising campaign with Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League.

Leeds United have previously been credited with an interest in the Georgian international, however no concrete links have yet to emerge.

"The Georgian international's agent has made it clear that the footballer wants to leave Russia this summer and his name is already ringing to make the leap," the report in TodoFichajes reads.

This suggests much of the supposed 'interest' in the 20-year-old may well be agent-driven.
