Leeds United transfer rumours as Juventus linked to Leeds 'target'

Juventus linked to Leeds target

Leeds United have been perennially linked to Cagliari's Nahitan Nandez since winning promotion back to the Premier League in 19/20.

The last two summers have been full of reports from Italy that the midfielder is a target for the Whites but no move has ever materialised.

Now the rumours might finally stop, HITC are reporting that stories are now breaking in Italy that Juventus could move to sign Nandez, should Aston Villa be successful in signing Rodrigo Bentancur from the Old Lady.

Leeds have 'dossier' on winger

Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson is a more recent link, having first been mooted as a Whites target earlier this season.

The Athletic are now reporting that the Whites are being joined by both Brentford and Newcastle in their pursuit of the winger but Leeds' are said to have followed the player so closely as to have compiled a 'dossier' on the Welshman.

A source said, 'Leeds know everything about him down to his inside leg measurement.'

Leeds 'don't need' Aberdeen youngster

It emerged last week that Leeds are one of several teams tracking exciting young Aberdeen right back Calvin Ramsay.

However, ex-Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes he would be a signing that is surplus to requirements at Elland Road.

"If you ask any Leeds fan if you want a right-back when you’ve got Luke Ayling, he’s been a top-class right-back for the last three or four seasons.

"Jamie Shackleton can play there, Stuart Dallas has played there. It’s not a pressing matter.

"Okay, signing good young players is always good for the club but they need a centre-half, they need a central midfielder and they need a centre-forward. They are far more pressing issues than a right-back."
