Chelsea star Christian Pulisic tipped for 'comfort' move to Leeds United by UMSNT icon
Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has been told he should move to Leeds United in the summer transfer window if the Whites are able to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The American, who has started just eight times for the Blues this season across all competitions, has missed the last seven league matches with a recurring knee problem but USMNT legend Alexi Lalas believes that a move to Elland Road could be what he needs to reinvigorate his career.
"This is familiarity, this is a step down within the EPL," Lalas claimed on his State of the Union Podcast. "I can argue in different ways, but when it comes to Leeds, we know this is a team that will struggle and this is a team that need something.
"To caveat this, this is if Leeds stay up. I do not want Pulisic playing in the Championship, but if Leeds stay up this is a potential move.
"He has his friends there, he has an American connection there. It would be a different environment because Leeds are this team that struggles every year to be a medium level team and there may be some comfort and that step down may provide him an opportunity to do some different teams."
Leeds United 'reignite' interest in £3.5m Championship star
Leeds United have reportedly reignited their interest in Preston North End's number one goalkeeper Freddie Woodman according to the Sun.
The 25-year-old, who previously played for Newcastle United and a whole host of other EFL clubs in various loan spells, is believed to be on the Whites radar but they will face Premier League opposition to get him.
The report claims that Leicester City are among the interested parties while Scottish giants Rangers also like what they see in Woodman, who has kept 14 clean sheets in his 34 league appearances this season.
