Leeds United transfer rumours as AC Milan eyeing up 'Moneyball' swoop for Tyler Adams

Here are your Leeds United transfer rumours and gossip on Tuesday, March 28.

AC Milan's secret 'Moneyball' scheme for Leeds United star Tyler Adams unveiled

Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams could be the subject of serious interest in the summer transfer window from Serie A giants AC Milan and is seen as their top replacement for Franck Kessie.

The USMNT star has been one of the most consistent performers in a Whites shirt so far this season, and while he's only been playing in the Premier League for a single season, he's impressed enough to have serious clubs around Europe turn their heads his way.

According to Italian outlet Gazetta dello Sport, Milan are looking at 'Moneyball'-type data in order to fill a hole left by the Ivorian since his departure from San Siro last year.

Kessie spent five years at Milan before leaving for Barcelona, and there's been a significant hole left in his wake meaning Adams is seen as the perfect option in the summer.

Moneyball is a data-driven analysis of players on a sabermetric and evidence-based system in order to use a smaller budget to achieve more success.

With the 24-year-old yet to be substituted for the Whites this season, it's possible that he could be flipped after just a single year at Elland Road.

Leeds United tipped to 'jump at chance' to re-sign former talisman

Leeds United and Andrea Radrizzani would 'jump at the chance' to re-sign former talisman Raphinha after his woes at La Liga giants Barcelona so far this season.

An exit has been on the cards for the Brazilian from the Nou Camp for months, with numerous reports claiming that Barca are likely to simply 'cash in' on the star following their financial issues.

According to Football Insider, while the Whites would love to bring the 26-year-old back for an incredible homecoming at Elland Road, it's very unlikely they'll be able to meet his price tag.

After leaving for £55 million, he was replaced by wingers Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra, both of whom have played well when healthy.
