Leeds United transfer rumours: Alioski exit 'very close' and Orta urged to hijack Edouard deal

Leeds United are on course for a solid Premier League position finish this season in their first campaign back in the top-flight for over 16 years.

The Whites are comfortably in mid-table as it stands but the consistency of Marcelo Bielsa's squad may be enough to concern the Argentine manager.

While the focus will be firmly on finishing the season strongly, there will be half an eye on the summer transfer window that opens in a few months' time.

With this being said, here is our latest round-up of the Leeds-related transfer rumours from around Europe.

Alioski 'very close' to departure

Beren Cross discusses the underperformers in the Leeds team at the minute

According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, Gjanni Alioski has rejected Leeds' latest contract offer and is now 'very close' to completing a move to Galatasaray.

The 29-year-old's deal at Elland Road expires at the end of the season with his future in Yorkshire looking very uncertain.

Alioski has started on the bench for Bielsa's side in the last four matches which has fuelled speculation over his future beyond this season.

The North Macedonia international was first linked with Galatasaray in January and fresh reports have now emerged.

Robinson urges Leeds to sign Edouard

Paul Robinson has told Leeds to hijack Leicester City's reported move for Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard.

Reports have suggested that the Foxes are looking to complete a £15million deal for Edouard to bring him to the King Power Stadium in the summer.

However, Robinson - the former Whites goalkeeper - has urged his old club to try and prevent this from happening and sign the Frenchman themselves.

He told MOT Leeds News: “£15m for Odsonne Edouard is a really great deal. If anyone can get him for £15m it would be amazing.

“I’d love to see Leeds hijack that deal. Edouard can play as a nine and he’s strong. He’s a player who can also play behind the striker.

“If you can get him for £15m… I’d like to see Leeds hijack that deal but I think a lot of other clubs will be in for him too.

“He won’t be on Premier League wages either at Celtic. It won’t take a lot to buy out his contract.”

De Paul price revealed

Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino has said that Leeds will need to pay 'a lot' of money if they want to sign reported target Rodrigo De Paul in the summer transfer window.

The Whites, Liverpool, Juventus, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the Argentine midfielder in recent months.

However, he won't come cheap, according to the Serie A club's director - who didn't specify a price but did his best to warn potential suitors for De Paul away.

"How much money does it take to sign Rodrigo De Paul? A lot," Marino told Marte Sport Live.

“We are not thinking about selling him, for the moment. It’s not a problem for us.”
