Leeds United fell to their second 4-1 defeat in a week on Saturday as Crystal Palace took all three points at Selhurst Park.
The match produced a controversial moment that denied Patrick Bamford yet another Premier League goal, as his outstretched arm was adjudged to have been in an offside position, causing pundits and fans alike to slam VAR once again.
The Whites signed a number of key players over the summer, including goalkeeper Illan Meslier, centre-back Diego Llorente and Spain international Rodrigo, in their bid to stay in the Premier League after a 16-year absence.
And with the January window edging ever closer, Marcelo Bielsa and Adrian Orta will surely be hard at work to identify and plan moves for mid-season targets.
Here is Monday's collection of the latest Leeds United rumours doing the rounds.
Bundesliga striker confirms summer interest
Bayer Leverkusen forward Lucas Alario has revealed he was courted by United during pre-season.
In an interview with TYC Sports, the Argentinian striker, who has scored seven goals in six league games this season, said he had heard of the club's interest through his agent but stated that nothing was concrete.
“I had no contact or spoke with Marcelo (Bielsa), he said.
"I know about the rumour because my representative told me, but it was only a survey. They asked my representative and then the club, but then he did not advance much further."
Leeds should have signed Eze
Phil Hay believes the club missed a trick by not signing Eberechi Eze from Queens Park Rangers.
The midfielder, who eventually signed for Crystal Palace, was hot property over the summer with a host of Premier League sides linked with a move for his services.
Hay said on his podcast, The Phil Hay Show, that he would have liked to have seen Leeds move for the 22-year-old, who he describes as 'a really good player'.
"He is at Palace and is, to my mind, a really good player," he said.
"That [interest in Eze] never seemed to get going on the Leeds front but he would certainly have been a player, if Leeds had dipped into the Championship as heavily as we thought they would to begin with, that I’d have been very interested in them getting hold of."
Former goalkeeper tips Haaland for sensational move
Former Whites goalkeeper Paul Robinson has revealed he wants to see Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland play for the club one day.
The young striker was famously born in Leeds during his father Alfie's spell with the side.
"One day, we will see Erling Haaland in the Premier League, without a shadow of a doubt," he told Football Insider.
"I would love it to be at Leeds, where he grew up watching his dad play. I think Dortmund was a stepping stone before a move to the Premier League."
