Leeds United transfer rumours: £40m Emi Buendia update as Jack Harrison tipped to sign imminently

Leeds United wrapped up their Premier League season in style on Sunday as they beat West Brom 3-1.

Supporters were admitted back into Elland Road for the first time since promotion as the Whites rounded off their campaign with another victory, securing a ninth-place finish.

Attentions now turn to the transfer window as Marcelo Bielsa looks to bolster his squad to improve next season.

A raft of players have already been touted as potential arrivals at Elland Road, with the rumour mill already swirling ahead of the European Championships.

With that in mind, LeedsLive has rounded up the latest gossip filling the back pages.

Norwich resigned to Buendia sale

Norwich City have admitted defeat in their hopes of retaining Emi Buendia's services despite promotion to the Premier League.

The Canaries winger scored 15 goals and registered 16 assists as Daniel Farke's side claimed the Championship title.

The Athletic report that Buendia will leave Norwich if the £40million price tag is met, with Arsenal and Aston Villa in the queue.

Leeds were widely linked with the Argentine last summer and their interest could resurface.

Robinson back Harrison switch

Paul Robinson believes Jack Harrison could pen a permanent deal with Leeds United "within 48 hours".

The winger has spent the last three seasons on loan at Elland Road and is widely expected to leave Manchester City permanently to join Leeds this summer.

The 24-year-old's contract expires in 2023 and therefore City would demand a fee but Robinson expects the deal to be done imminently.

“I’d be absolutely amazed if we didn’t hear that Jack Harrison has signed a permanent deal in the next 24-48 hours," he told MOT Leeds News.

“He’s been absolutely fantastic in the final bit of the season. They’ve agreed the price and the deal is already in place. He’s an absolute bargain at £11m.

“He’s been so good he’s being talked about as a future England player.

“I would be absolutely amazed if the deal hasn’t been sanctioned already and I’m expecting it to be announced imminently.”

Dallas drops Alioski hint

Stuart Dallas has offered the clearest indication yet that Ezgjan Alioski will leave Leeds United at the end of his contract.

The Whites defender's terms expire at the end of June and no official announcement has been made on his future.

Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi bid an emotional farewell to the club on Sunday after Marcelo Bielsa confirmed the experienced pair would be leaving Elland Road but official word is still schtum on Alioski.

Speaking to Live Now at Leeds' end-of-season awards dinner, Dallas namechecked Alioski alongside Hernandez and Berardi in a summary of those departing the club.

“This has been an incredible journey to share with people,” Dallas said. “I spoke earlier about Bera and Pablo… Alioski, where is he? He’s not here…

“This for me it’s a special moment because these people have given so much to the club, we’ve achieved so much together and we’re losing them as teammates.

“For me, it’s sad because they’ve been such a big part of our group. It’s sad… I don’t know what to say. They’ve been great servants to the club.”
