Leeds United transfer rumours: £10m agreement, Bogusz discusses loan, Bent's transfer tip

Leeds United were dismantled within minutes of their Sunday afternoon trip to Manchester United.

It took a Scott McTominay double to lay the foundations of Manchester United's victory, and from that point on, Marcelo Bielsa's side was always chasing their way back into the game.

While the result on the pitch was not what the team wanted, however, off it, the club continues to work hard to provide Bielsa with a squad capable of moving up the division.

With that in mind, we have an update on a blockbuster permanent transfer for a star winger and a central defender who Darren Bent says would be an astute acquisition.

Here is a round-up of the latest Leeds transfer rumours.

Bielsa's reaction after his side lost 6-2 at Old Trafford

Harrison transfer agreed

Leeds have successfully negotiated a permanent transfer with Manchester City for on-loan winger, Jack Harrison.

Per Football Insider, Leeds have exercised an option-to-buy clause in Harrison's contract, which will see him sign with the Yorkshire club on a permanent basis in 2021.

The report adds that the deal had to be agreed upon before a specified date and is worth more than the £10 million clause that was included in his 2019/20 loan.

Harrison is in his third season with Leeds and has 18 months remaining on his City contract. At 24 and having never made a senior appearance for his parent club, he is not expected to be a part of Pep Guardiola's long-term plans.

Bogusz discusses Spain loan

Mateusz Bogusz has opened up on his decision to accept a loan deal in La Liga 2, the second tier of Spanish football.

Bogusz made only two appearances for Leeds last season and was always expected to leave on loan following promotion to the Premier League.

And now he has revealed how he came to his decision to move to Spain, instead of moving to Poland, where he has played for the under-21 national team.

"It is true that I had an offer from Legia, but I preferred not to return to Poland. It seems to me that the second division Spanish league is stronger than the Polish first division,” he told Przeglad Sportowy via Sport Witness.

"The coach called me, said that everything was ready and if there was no offer for me, I could come to Legia. I would certainly win more there, but I preferred to go to Italy or Spain.

"There are really very good teams in the second Spanish league. We recently faced Espanyol and Mallorca, who were relegated from La Liga last season, who did not suffer many losses after the relegation."

Bent tips Tomori transfer

Darren Bent, speaking to Football Insider, believes that Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori would be an excellent signing for Leeds this January.

Tomori has hardly featured this season and is thought to be set for a six-month loan to gain more regular playing time. And Bent believes that Leeds should make a move for the 22-year-old.

"I really like Tomori, he said. "I thought he would have been given more game time but he hasn’t, but yeah, that’d be a great signing for Leeds.

"You’d get someone who is comfortable on the ball, very, very quick, I like him, he’s young, an international and very, very good.

"For me, perfect. If they can get him on loan until the end of the season that’d be superb. I think he’d be a very, very welcome addition."
