Leeds United transfer odds slashed on Premier League striker

Odds have been slashed on Leeds United’s chances of landing Watford striker Andre Gray after multiple reports ending the Che Adams chase.

Several outlets have reported similar scenarios whereby Southampton have finally shut the door on any Adams exit.

LeedsLive understands the Whites’ latest offer for Adams remains under consideration, neither accepted nor rejected, but the narrative has moved on regardless.

Gray is similarly out of favour with his club, Watford, but on vastly inflated wages with more Premier League experience to boot.

While the Hornets are open to offers, the finances on the deal still make it a tall order for United, but the bookmakers see it differently.

Only the Adams betting market on SkyBet has the Whites at shorter odds for a transfer this month. They are now 5/4 to bring Gray to Elland Road before the month is out.

Evidently, punters have been having a flutter on the Gray move since rumours began to circulate in the past 48 horus.

Sheffield Wednesday and West Bromwich Albion are miles back at 25/1 and 33/1 respectively.
