Jesse Marsch will sit down with the Leeds United hierarchy to thrash out a strategy for the January transfer window in the coming weeks. The Whites moved swiftly and decisively in the summer to add to their squad before pre-season got up and running and went on to land nine new signings in total.
However, Leeds’ squad is still light in certain positions and they will have the opportunity to bring in reinforcements in January, following the conclusion of the World Cup in Qatar. It’s unclear how active United intend to be in the window at this stage, but plans will be discussed internally in the not too distant future.
Marsch was giving nothing away in regards to his hopes for the window when speaking about it in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, but he did point to the youngsters Leeds have within their ranks and the chances they need in order to continue their development at Elland Road.

“We're going to have a meeting in a couple of weeks about the transfer window in the winter,” the head coach said before this weekend’s clash against Arsenal when asked if a striker was on his list. “It's a little bit early to discuss these things.
“However, that was clearly a target of ours and we will assess the attacking part of the field as we move forward and figure out what we need to add. Once again, when I've talked about this, I think the young group of attacking players that we have now is really exciting, really exciting.
“One of the beauties is when they're playing with the 21s and when they're training with us, they're showing that quality every day, and it's continuing to make me think about what's the right time to start to let some of these guys go a little bit more and give them more opportunities with the first team. That's one of the shames a little bit that the results haven't been better because then maybe I could be a little bit riskier or braver or whatever with some of the younger players.
“I need to still consider that as we're moving forward no matter what because I want this to be part of our process and I need to be brave regardless. So I'm trying to evaluate every week what to give these players because I think they're good. I think they're doing really well.”
