Leeds United have a fresh chance to sign Reading starlet Michael Olise in January and he could be available for a bargain price when the window reopens.
The 18-year-old has started eight of Reading's nine Championship matches so far this season, with the Royals flying high as the early pacesetters this season.
Olise has been an integral figure, scoring twice and contributing three assists, with Reading benefitting from his input to lead the table by three points - and holding a game in hand.
The teenager made his debut for Reading in March 2019 at the age of 17 and has gone on to notch up 35 appearances with the Berkshire club - but an exit may be on the cards.
Olise was targeted by Leeds in the summer transfer window and they could return to the market in January having not strengthened their centre midfield ranks prior to the start of the campaign, Football Insider states.
The France under-18 international is tied down with Reading in a contract until 2022 but has an affordable release clause of just £8m in his deal, it's reported.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton have also been linked with the highly-rated teenager and an exit could occur next year if he does not extend his deal with Reading.
In January, Olise will have just 18 months remaining on his contract and the 2021 windows may be their final opportunity to get a decent price for his services.
The £8m release clause sets the bar for Leeds to meet though if they do want to make a move to win the race for his services.
