Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Marcelo Bielsa's side should look to bring Danny Rose to the club from Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international faces an uncertain future in north London, with the club reportedly looking to cancel his contract as he is surplus to requirements in the eyes of Jose Mourinho.
If that is to be the case, it's stated Rose wants the final eight months of his contract paid out in full so it may be a saga that drags into the January transfer window.
If Rose does become available, however, Robinson believes that Leeds should make a move to bring the defender back to Elland Road.
“The contract situation will be resolved eventually and I would just like to see Danny Rose get out there and play football,” he told Football Insider.
“I would take him at Leeds because obviously, there has been a number of defensive injuries. Leeds have had Stuart Dallas and Alioski playing there, but to have someone like Danny Rose as part of the squad, on a free transfer, that would be a no brainer for anyone.”
Thirty-year-old Rose came through the youth ranks at Leeds, but never made a senior league appearance, being sold to Tottenham in 2007 following the club's relegation to League One.
He has since spent time on loan with Watford, Peterborough United, Bristol City and Sunderland, as well as making over 150 league appearances for Spurs.
His most recent loan spell came with Newcastle United in the second half of last season, but he did not secure a permanent exit in the summer.
