Liverpool had reportedly been hoping for a fee of £30m last summer when Wilson's future was in the headlines after impressive loan spells at Hull City and Derby County.
But, in the current financial climate, they may accept around half that, with newly-promoted Leeds looking to bolster their squad.
Wilson still has three years left on his long-term contract at Anfield and may yet be loaned out again.
