Robin Koch is closing in on a move to Leeds United, with reports stating the defender has already bid farewell to his teammates.
The Whites have moved to secure the signing of the Freiburg man for a fee believed to be around £13million.
The 24-year-old, who has already made his international bow for Germany, is highly-rated by Marcelo Bielsa.
Brighton have proved stubborn in resisting offers for Ben White, with Sky Sports reporting Leeds' final offers was £25million.
With the Seagulls determined not to allow White a fairytale return to Elland Road, Leeds have moved to the Bundesliga to add more depth in defence.
With White gone, Liam Cooper is Leeds' only recognised centre-back with the new Premier League season two weeks away.
However, it appears Koch will be alongside him at the heart of the defence when Leeds travel to Anfield in front of the Sky Sports cameras on September 12.
Reputable German outlet Kicker report that Koch have said goodbye to his Freiburg teammates on Friday afternoon and has left their training camp to complete a move to Elland Road.
