Fan spots transfer confirmation with Leeds United on the cusp of signing announcement

Leeds United could be about to confirm their third signing of the summer.

Since securing a return to the Premier League for the first time in over a decade, Marcelo Bielsa's side have moved swiftly to turn a couple of loan deals into permanent ones ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Helder Costa was first to complete his reported £16m move from Wolves at the beginning of last month as he's signed a four-year deal at Elland Road.

Then a few weeks later, it was confirmed goalkeeper Illan Meslier had penned a three-year deal to complete his move from French side FC Lorient.

"It’s unbelievable, we are in the Premier League and today I’ve signed for Leeds United permanently, so I am very happy," he told the club's official website.

"My objective when I arrived was to stay here, Leeds is perfect, the supporters, club and stadium, along with the team is unbelievable, so I always wanted to stay."

And all signs are pointing towards more transfer activity before the window closes.

Edinson Cavani, Thiago Almada, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Emiliano Buendia, Joe Gelhardt, and Matty Longstaff are just some of the names being linked with a move to West Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, the Whites remain keen on bringing back Ben White on a permanent basis from Brighton and Hove Albion.

With that said, it would appear that Leeds' third summer signing will be the highly-rated Linfield forward Charlie Allen.

In fact, one supporter has spotted that Linfield have already confirmed the deal with a social media post - which has seen been deleted - that has wished the teenager well at Leeds United.

It's likely that Allen will be regarded as one for the future, falling in line with the club's transfer policy.

Leeds have brought in youngsters such as Mateusz Bogusz, Liam McCarron, and Stuart McKinstry in recent windows and look set to continue that trend in the coming days.
