Leeds United team news sees Marcelo Bielsa make Patrick Bamford call and Luke Ayling return

Leeds United have not conceded a goal in the Premier League for 201 minutes, having earned clean sheets versus Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace in their last two run-outs.

The squad has shown signs of revival, with key first-team players returning to the fold, after a troubling early portion of the season.

Many of Leeds' important individuals have been sidelined for the past two months, including Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling who last made a senior appearance away at Newcastle United in September.

Both Ayling and Bamford made comebacks in the young Whites' 3-2 defeat to Manchester City U23s on Monday.

Today, Ayling is in from the start while Bamford is restricted to a place on the bench.

Elsewhere, Marcelo Bielsa has named Daniel James in his starting XI following a promising run of form.

The usual suspects retain their places in the side, with captain Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Kalvin Phillips and Illan Meslier making up the defensive spine.

Stuart Dallas and Junior Firpo take up their positions in the XI as well today.

Tyler Roberts started on Tuesday night, and was commended for his work-rate, despite the fact his first Premier League goal of the season still eluded him.

Marcelo Bielsa has stuck by his stand-in striker, despite the temptation to throw Bamford back into the mix at the first time of asking.

Rodrigo was a surprise omission on Tuesday evening; he remains on the substitutes' bench today.

Ivan Toney misses out entirely for the visitors with a bout of COVID.

Leeds United XI: Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Cooper (c), Firpo; Phillips, Forshaw, Dallas; James, Raphinha, Roberts

Subs: Klaesson, Cresswell, Jenkins, Shackleton, Summerville, Klich, Harrison, Rodrigo, Bamford
