Leeds United target's manager admits he's braced for offers this summer

The manager of Leeds United target Hosam Aiesh has told the Swedish press he's expecting an offer for his club's striker.

This comes after reports that Leeds United sent scouts to Sweden to watch two Östersunds FK players in action earlier this month, one of which is believed to have been the 24-year-old striker.

Ian Burchnall, the manager of Östersunds, told the press that: "He’s coming back today, so it has nothing to do with the rumours with other clubs. But this interest is of course increasing, and I expect to hear from several big clubs in the coming weeks."

The Swedish season runs from late March to November. Aiesh is still to set the world alight this season having scored one goal in eight appearances but he has caught the eye of his national team and made his debut for Sweden in January in a 1-0 defeat to Finland.

Burchnall, who was assistant manager to former Leeds United player Brian Deane in his time at Sarpsborg 08, has been Östersunds manager since last summer when he took over from current Swansea City manager Graham Potter.

Fellow Championship sides Reading and Nottingham Forest are also reported to be interested in Aiesh.

The other player Leeds are watching is reported to be Dino Islamovic, Östersunds' current top scorer who has four goals so far this season.
