Leeds United target Noa Lang gives fresh update on his future with Man City comments

Leeds United target Noa Lang has spoken about his ambitions to play in the Champions League but he hasn't ruled out a move to England this summer.

The 22-year-old had reportedly agreed personal terms to join the Whites, but the move reportedly fell through due to Club Brugge's demands.

It's no secret that Leeds are interested in signing a winger as they look to bolster their attacking options and Lang is supposedly at the top of their list.

Adama Traore and Mikkel Damsgaard have both been spoken about, but deals for either of those look unlikely to happen before August 31.

Having helped Brugge to the Pro League title with 16 goals in 29 appearances, Lang has opened up on who he wants face this season and Manchester City, along with Paris Saint-Germain, are at the top of his list.

“Manchester City is just a very good team under Pep Guardiola. They play very good football and it would be a very nice challenge,” Lang said.

“(If we are drawn against PSG) Then you can play against Neymar, (Lionel) Messi, (Kylian) Mbappe, (Angel) Di Maria, (Marco) Verratti, (Sergio) Ramos… do I have to continue?

“It’s more fun when you play against very good opponents, then you know whether you can measure yourself against them. Of course, it is difficult to qualify but it is Champions League, nothing is easy.

“It doesn’t change my goal to spend the winter in the Champions League.”

Although this can be read in different ways, Lang's proposed £25m switch to West Yorkshire is likely to be put on the back-burner now, with the Whites set to look at other targets instead.

Lewis O'Brien and Josh Brownhill have been linked as potential midfield options, whilst a fresh report suggested that United States striker Daryl Dike could head to Elland Road in a loan move from Orlando City.
