Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Friday, August 7.
Leeds target Fulham youngster
Leeds are pushing to sign Cody Drameh from fellow newly-promoted side Fulham to bolster their defence ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The Whites have just under five weeks until Premier League football is welcomed back to Elland Road for the first time since 2004 and transfer business is on the cards.
As reported elsewhere, LeedsLive understands 18-year-old Drameh is a player of interest to Leeds, with Marcelo Bielsa prepared to offer the teenager a chance of playing first-team football.
The South Londoner has been a regular in Fulham's under-23 ranks, but is yet to make his senior debut, with Fulham looking to sell out of necessity due to his contract situation.
VAR protocol changes
Premier League clubs have agreed to key changes to VAR for the 2020/21 season which will see the league operate in line with FIFA's protocol.
In July 2020, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) transferred the responsibility of VAR to FIFA after inconsistencies in the Premier League's application of the technology against Europe.
A Premier League statement confirmed their clubs had to agreed to important changes in VAR protocol for next season: "At the Premier League’s Annual General Meeting today, Shareholders agreed to rules relating to Video Assistant Referees (VAR) and substitute players for the 2020/21 season.
"Shareholders unanimously approved the implementation of VAR, in line with the full FIFA VAR protocol."

Harrison confirms Leeds return
Jack Harrison has confirmed he will be back at Leeds next season for the club's Premier League return.
The Manchester City winger has spent the past two seasons on loan at Elland Road, making 89 appearances and appearing in every single match of the title-winning 2019-20 Championship campaign as he became a key part of Marcelo Bielsa's masterplan.
He will now get the chance to sample the Premier League with the Whites, with another year-long loan spell set to be confirmed by both clubs.
This comes after plans to activate a clause for a permanent move at the end of the current campaign were renegotiated after the coronavirus pandemic forced the season to overrun. It is believed the option to make the move permanent will now be exercised next summer.
