Leeds United target Forest Green ace; Manchester United and Arsenal chasing Championship goalkeeper; Southampton target Birmingham City striker

The Championship season is now into its final week ahead of the concluding games on Sunday.

It's nearly time to focus on the summer transfer window with teams plans in place up and down the country.

Here are the latest rumours from around the Championship:

Che Adams (BIRMINGHAM MAIL)

Saints eye Adams

Southampton are ready to revive their interest in Birmingham City striker Che Adams. The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season with the Blues, hitting 22 goals for Garry Monk’s side. Adams, who is rated at £15m, was wanted by Saints in January but Birmingham had no interest in selling. They could yet cash-in this summer as they look to settle any issues with Financial Fair Play.

Blues striker wanted

Bristol City, Aston Villa and Fulham are both in the hunt for Chelsea striker Matell Taylor-Crossdale. The Mirror suggests that the 19-year-old midfielder has impressed with the Blues Academy but he has failed to make the breakthrough.

He is now expected to move on with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Premier League Southampton appear to be another option according to the latest reports.

Cahill sought

Fulham are also being linked with a move for Chelsea defender Gary Cahill as they prepare for life in the Championship.

Cahill is expected to leave Stamford Bridge after seven years at the club with nearly 300 appearances under his belt.

The 33-year-old was linked with Craven Cottage in January but he decided to stay for the rest of the campaign.

The former England international has only played seven times for Chelsea this season and he is set to leave with his contract expiring.

Leeds linked with Brown

Leeds United are keeping close tabs on highly-rated teenager Reece Brown.

The Forest Green Rovers man is out of contract at the end of the season although any new side would have to pay £70,000 in compensation.

Brown, 23, has impressed in League Two and could be ready to make the step up to the Championship.

United and Arsenal eye youngster

Manchester United and Arsenal’s interest in Reading’s young goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke is increasing.

Boyce-Clarke, who only turned 16 last month, is very highly-rated.

The teenager has already played for Reading’s Under 23 team this season - and big things are expected of him.

MailOnline indicate a decision about his future may be made soon, with the pair both making plays to land him
