Leeds United takeover ramps up with PSG owner 'set to meet' Marcelo Bielsa

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is set to meet Marcelo Bielsa this week as he looks to make steps towards a takeover at Leeds United, according to L'Equipe.

The Elland Road club last week denied that Qatari Sports Investments, who were reportedly considering a move to buy Nottingham Forest, were looking to launch a takeover bid.

But now reports in France claim that Al-Khelaifi will meet Bielsa in Doha, Qatar, amid ongoing takeover discussions.

There are said to be six different potential investors interested in taking over at Leeds but a deal with the Qatari giants would prove the most lucrative.

According to the Mirror, the takeover would open the possibility of using PSG's academy stars as loan players to benefit both Leeds and PSG.

Bielsa's side last season missed out on promotion to the Premier League after a play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County at Elland Road that saw them become the first side ever to be beaten after winning the away leg.
