Leeds United supporters split over Jesse Marsch's much-changed starting XI for Cardiff clash

Leeds United supporters have given a mixed reaction to Jesse Marsch's starting XI to face Cardiff City with a spot in the F.A Cup fourth-round on the line.

The Whites have drawn two of their three Premier League matches since the return from the winter break while Cardiff haven't won a match in seven league fixtures.

Joel Robles gets the start in between the sticks, while full-backs Rasmus Kristensen and Junior Firpo line up either side of Pascal Struijk and Diego Llorente.

Youngster Darko Gyabi gets a start alongside Brenden Aaronson and Sam Greenwood in midfield, with dynamic duo Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto either side of Joe Gelhardt up front.

Newest signing Max Wober takes his place on the bench alongside Kristoffer Klaesson, Luke Ayling, Cody Drameh, Marc Roca, Jack Harrison, Sonny Perkins, Mateo Joseph and Rodrigo.

Many took to social media to discuss the line-up, with many happy with the decisions Marsch has made while others wanted to see a much stronger line-up. Here's what they had to say...

@ellis_platten: Joffy, Gnonto & Summerville!

@RPlufc93: We are losing this game, thought he'd go stronger than that

@BalticBulldog: He said we're putting a strong side out then starts Firpo?

@LUFC_Henry: Nice of us to not take the cup seriously again as per tradition

@lufcmacs: Not far off what I was expecting but a little concerned by the lack of experience in midfield

@adamtownend: I think that line up is strong enough. Glad Wober hasn't been thrown in. Could have been a disastrous debut. Expect Cardiff to be full of energy and it could get scrappy

@steveknight71: Makes no sense. No game for a week so no point resting players

@justviziting: That’s the right lineup, it’s good (and significant) to see Struijk getting a game at LCB alongside actual full backs, is also a chance for Brenden to play himself back into form & if things are going wrong bring on Harrison and Rodrigo for the final third to sort things out.
