Leeds United supporters react to line-up at Southampton as Jesse Marsch gets new options

Leeds United supporters have reacted to Jesse Marsch naming an unchanged line-up from the side that defeated Wolves on the opening day. As expected, the American makes no changes as he aims to secure a third straight Premier League win.

Adam Forshaw, Daniel James and new arrival Luis Sinisterra all feature on the bench - giving Marsch plenty of options to turn to. However, there is no room for captain Liam Cooper, who remains sidelined with an Achilles injury.

The reaction was understandable to the team sheet on social media. Supporters realise an unchanged line-up made common sense but still contained excitement at what Sinisterra could offer if called upon.

There was, however, some frustration at Joe Gelhardt being ruled out through injury - highlighting the need for a new striker. This is how fans responded to Marsch's decision on Twitter.

@shaunje28862694: No joffy proof that we can’t allow that window to shut without signing a striker

@jwilliamhorner: Bloody love this 11, especially with the additions we have on the bench

@BC_LUFC: We don’t need another striker tho do we Radz

@MississipiMOT: Ooof, no Joffy?? And we are supposed to feel content with our striker situation?? Also thought Coops was at least going to be on the bench...

@LUFC_Max5: sini is coming on and scoring 6

@ConnorMOT92: Not surprised that Marsch has gone with an unchanged lineup tbh. No Joffy is baffling though unless he’s picked up a knock.

@jakewindermann: Concerned that Gelhardt isn’t on the bench and that there’s been no mention of an injury. Like the squad otherwise.

@lufcwill18: As expected, decent bench too

@leedsutdprof: SINISTERRA HAS ARRIVED
