Leeds United supporter and James singer Tim Booth looks back at Leeds gig which turned into a 'riot'

James lead singer Tim Booth has got all nostalgic about a gig where he battled a ‘riot’ in Leeds.

Booth, 59, lead singer of the band known for songs such as Laid and Sit Down, took to Twitter to discuss the gig.

The star, also known for being a and having a friendship with former player Gordon Strachan, seemed to look back at the 1985 incident with a little bit of warmth.

A fan had shared a photo from the Astoria gig and asked Booth if he recalled the outfit he was wearing.

Booth offered a little more info than just his take on his fashion choice. The singer told the fan about chairs flying through the air at the famous venue.
