Leeds United suffer fresh injury blow after Leif Davis taken off on a stretcher in U23s clash

Leif Davis has suffered an injury while playing for .

He received treatment on the pitch after going into a heavy challenge with Bristol City striker Famara Diedhiou in the 18th minute.

He subsequently had to be taken off on a stretcher, with Pascal Struijk coming on to replace him in the early stages.

The 19-year-old, who featured prominently for Marcelo Bielsa's senior team in pre-season, was also given opportunities in United's League Cup fixtures against Salford and Stoke, and notably provided the assist for Costa's equaliser against the Potters in last week's 2-2 draw.

There's no indication yet of how serious the injury may prove to be, but he looked in some discomfort as he stayed down following the coming together.
