Barry Douglas injury fears for Leeds United after memorable Millwall win

Barry Douglas is a new Leeds United injury doubt after leaving Elland Road on Saturday night with a brace down his left leg.

The left-back was seen limping for prolonged periods of the second half in today’s Championship win over Millwall, but despite finishing the game precautionary measures have been taken.

The Scot has mad six appearances since suffering his first serious injury of the season on New Year’s Day at Nottingham Forest.

Since losing his place in the side to Ezgjan Alioski he has had to bide his time for pitch minutes.

The 29-year-old replaced the Macedonia international at half-time and delivered the cross which Luke Ayling scored the second United goal from.

There had been high hopes head coach Marcelo Bielsa may finally have a fully fit squad to choose from next weekend with Kemar Roofe returning from a knee problem.

However, Douglas’s leg brace does cast doubt on his chances of selection next weekend at Birmingham City.

With a week to go, though, the number three has time to assess the problem and possibly recover in time.
