Leeds United striker seals exit as Whites issue transfer statement

Leeds United striker Rafa Mujica has completed a loan move to Real Oviedo, it has been confirmed.

The Whites signed the 21-year-old from Barcelona B last year after he broke on the scene with the Spanish giant's second team.

He has since enjoyed loans at Spanish sides Extremadura UD and Villarreal B.

Now he will move to Segunda Division outfit Real Oviedo for the entire 2020/21 season.

A Leeds statement said: "Mujica last season spent time on loan with fellow Spanish sides Extremadura UD and Villarreal CF and will continue his development away from Elland Road.

"We wish Rafa good luck during his time at the Carlos Tartiere."

Mujica previously spoke about his future in April whilst he was on loan and reiterated his desire to break into the squad at Leeds.

"I have a contract there. I would like to go back and play with Leeds," he said.

He initially joined as a member of former Leeds' man Carlos Corberan's under-23s side but has spent time out on loan back in his native Spain.

His Whites contract runs until 2022.
