Rodrigo made quite the impact when he climbed off the substitutes' bench for Leeds United on Saturday.
The club-record signing was only on the pitch for the final half-hour of their pulsating draw with Manchester City.
But he caught the eye with his performance, and celebrated his first goal in Whites' colours.
Introduced shortly after the interval, Marcelo Bielsa turned to the Spaniard to provide creativity and a drive in the final third.
And the Spaniard certainly came up with the goods. The emotion on his face upon scoring was there for all to see.
And rightly so, after what was a monumental wait for a top flight goal.
Rodrigo, of course, has played Premier League football before.
That was way back in the 2010-11 campaign, during a season-long loan at Bolton Wanderers.
It was a pretty grim spell in the North-west for Rodrigo, as he managed just a solitary goal.
That came in the top flight against Wigan in January 2011.
Since then he has become a fully-fledged international for Spain, played in the Champions League and this summer became the most expensive player in Elland Road history.
And in scoring against Pep Guardiola's side on Saturday night, he made his name onto a quirky top flight list.
His is the second longest gap between a player’s first two goals in the Premier League.
There were nine years and 272 days between that goal for the Trotters and his strike against City.
Only one player has a longer span between goals in the top flight - and beats Rodrigo's tally by just FOUR days.
There were nine years and 276 days between Andy Johnson's first two strikes.
Rodrigo is now up and running for Leeds. His only disappointment will be that he has to wait another fortnight before he can attempt to add to his tally.
