Leeds United star was spotted at Motherwell

Stuart McKinstry is on fire for Leeds United’s under-23 side.

The Wishaw-born winger scored a double in a 3-0 win against Reading to send Leeds 13 points clear at the top of the premier League 2 Division 2.

He grabbed his first goal with a beautiful left-footed finish.

The former Motherwell star is thriving at Leeds and has been one of the stars of their under-23 side this campaign.

The English Premiership side paid Motherwell £400,000 to secure his services at 17 years-old.

First-team manager Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly a huge fan of the Scotsman after observing him in pre-season.

It was the well-respected Argentine manager who told McKinstry to expect minutes with the under-23s this season.

The youngster recently extended his contract at the Yorkshire club until the summer of 2023.

The 18 year-old has been a regular within the Academy sides at Thorpe Arch since his arrival from Motherwell in 2019.

McKinstry supported the Steelmen since attending his first game aged just 16 months.

He was also a mascot at Fir Park and almost made his debut as a schoolboy against Kilmarnock on Boxing Day 2018.

Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows was extremely supportive of his move to Leeds, encouraging him to take a look.
