Leeds United star delivers major fitness boost ahead of Arsenal clash in the Premier League

Rodrigo is in line to return for Leeds United against Arsenal this weekend with a clear message of intent after his coronavirus isolation.

The Spain striker missed both of the Whites’ 4-1 defeats before the current international break because of COVID-19, but is now back in training at Thorp Arch.

It was November 3 when the 29-year-old confirmed he had contracted the virus after initially missing the Leicester City loss because of basic contact with a carrier.

Premier League rules state a player must isolate for 10 days before returning to training or matches if they have the virus.

Why Raphinha is ready to make an impact

Rodrigo is well beyond that threshold and made it clear he was feeling very healthy in himself despite contracting the virus.

The former Valencia frontman posted a short video from a dressing room at Thorp Arch on Tuesday morning with the caption ‘work’.

Assuming he has been able to training during his isolation period, Rodrigo should expect to return to Marcelo Bielsa’s line-up on Sunday against the Gunners based on recent form.
