Leeds United squad revealed for Manchester United clash as defensive options boosted

Leeds United will have centre-back Robin Koch back in action as he returns from his suspension to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The German defender missed out against Nottingham Forest over the weekend after accumulating too many yellow cards but has now served that ban and is set to return against the Red Devils.

Following the 1-0 loss to Forest however, head coach Jesse Marsch was sacked leaving a three-man team at the helm of the senior team of Chris Armas, Michael Skubala and Paco Gallardo to try and steer the ship away from the relegation zone while the club's executives try and find a replacement.

Skubala underwent press conference duties on Tuesday and while he was coy on the status of his squad, confirming that Leeds' long-term absentees - Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw and Archie Gray - are still missing but not giving much more away.

"We've got a few bumps and bruises but I don’t really want to give that away at the minute till I know how we're looking after training," he said.

Top goalscorer Rodrigo is also still out following surgery on his ankle due to damage sustained against Accrington Stanley in late January, and is set to be out for at least another month.

Crysencio Summerville is set to continue his road to full fitness against Man United after he made a second-half appearance against the Reds at the weekend when he replaced Luis Sinisterra.

Full Leeds United squad to face Manchester United: Illan Meslier, Joel Robles, Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo, Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, Max Wober, Marc Roca, Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie, Darko Gyabi, Sam Greenwood, Brenden Aaronson, Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra, Crysencio Summerville, Patrick Bamford, Georginio Rutter.
