Leeds United 'set sights' on La Liga duo, Leicester close in on £15m Hull star as Aston Villa snubbed over transfer

The latest transfer gossip from across the Championship is right here...

Leeds eye La Liga duo

Reports from Spain state that Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has "set his sights" on Real Sociedad's Ruben Pardo, who is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Reports in El Gol Digital also state that Ander Iturraspe has also caught the eye, with the midfielder looking to secure game-time. He is also a free agent.

Swansea City boss Graham Potter says he "feels for" Daniel James amid constant speculation over his future. The winger has been linked with Leeds since before Christmas. Swansea are currently in contract talks with the youngster, and Potter provided the latest on Thursday afternoon.

"He’s in the same position," he said.

He has to think about himself, talk to his family, busy first season. I almost feel for him. He should just play his football.

“It’s unfair on the player to keep putting him under the spotlight of a contract and then we’ll see at the end of the season.

“There’s constant contact but these things aren’t so simple.”

Rangers close to Blues striker

Birmingham City could be set for a departure as the Evening Times reports Rangers are on the brink of landing Greg Stewart from the Blues, who will sign a pre-contractual agreement before moving north of the border.

The 29-year-old is currently on loan with Aberdeen and sees his contract at St. Andrews’ expire at the end of the season, with Steven Gerrard identifying the forward as a priority signing to bring to Ibrox.

Bowen on the move?

Leicester City are preparing to enter the fight for Hull City ace Jarrod Bowen this summer in a deal that could cost the Foxes around £15m, according to reports cited by Leicestershire Live.

The 22-year-old has excelled for the Tigers this season, netting 21 goals in 42 matches in the Championship to help keep the fight for the playoffs alive. However, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also said to be keen.

Cherries look to Elland Road

Another Premier League side looking to shop in the Championship this summer are Bournemouth, as Football Insider states the Cherries are eyeing a £25m raid on Leeds United to secure the signatures of two players.

Eddie Howe’s side have set their sights on Kalvin Phillips and Jack Clarke, both of whom have excelled for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season as the Peacocks look to seal a return to the top-flight.

Starlet attracting Championship attention

A quartet of Championship clubs, consisting of Middlesbrough, Derby County, Hull City and Millwall, have all be handed a blow in the chase for the services of Motherwell starlet Jake Hastie, the Express reports.

Rangers have reignited their interest in the 20-year-old after previously pulling out of a deal and interested parties could secure his services for a fee of just £300,000 when the window opens this summer.

Villa face heartache

Finally, Aston Villa seem to have missed the chance to sign Serbian midfielder Nemanja Radoja, reports from Birmingham Live state, as he is closing in on a move to Real Betis.

The 26-year-old reportedly snubbed a move to England during the January window and any chances of Villa reviving their interest this summer look to be dead, as he is preparing to remain within Spanish football.
