The Championship and League One are set for D-day votes on their respective seasons this week.
EFL clubs will vote on how to conclude the current campaign in tiers two and three - a pivotal decision as far as Championship leaders Leeds United are concerned.
It was announced last week that League Two would be cancelled, with points-per-game deciding the remaining places.
It was decided that bottom club Stevenage would be spared from relegation while the top three are set to be promoted with playoffs going ahead for those in the four positions below.
Though, it is now being suggested that Stevenage could be relegated when decisions are made further up the pyramid.
One of those decisions is likely to be the curtailment of League One.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, testing costs and other obstacles mean it is looking increasingly difficult to finish remaining games in League One.
With that in mind, non-weighted points-per-game is likely to be used to decide final positions, and the playoffs will likely still take place.
Though, those plans are subject to a vote which will include three options for each of the two leagues.
Clubs will be offered the chance to play on, ending the season but continuing with playoffs or ending the season and sending the top three teams up.
According to the Daily Mail report, clubs will vote until a 50% majority is reached with one option filling from the ballot each round.
The whole EFL will have the chance to decide on the final decision and it's said there is little chance relegation will be scrapped in any of the three leagues.
