Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says Leeds United cannot afford to be sloppy in midfield against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Whites ended 2020 on a high on Tuesday as they thrashed West Brom 5-0, running riot in the first half to go 4-0 up by half-time.
Leeds were given a helping hand on their way with Romaine Sawyers netting a disastrous own goal for West Brom but, after that, there was only ever one winner.
Next up, the Whites face an entirely different prospect in a Spurs side that still have hopes of challenging for the title under Jose Mourinho.
Speaking to Amazon Prime, Hasselbaink praised the display of his former side against West Brom - even though he conceded that the Baggies started the brighter of the two sides.
Yet he argued that they will have to maintain their performance levels if they want to take anything from Saturday's game against Spurs.
He said: "It didn't start in that way (a masterclass). West Brom started bright but after the own goal it was all Leeds.
"West Brom could not keep up the intensity and you could see gaps forming. Leeds were amazing and there were so many great goals.
"Leeds won the ball really easily in the opposition's half. West Brom got tired.
"Marcelo Bielsa should be happy and praising his team with the way they played in the first half. They are going to play the same against Tottenham. It's about not making the mistakes they made against Manchester United.
"Losing the ball in the midfield is not an option. The Tottenham wide players can hurt Leeds more than West Brom."
