Jansson offers warning for Leeds and West Brom
Brentford captain Pontus Jansson has warned Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion that it would be “stupid” for the Bees to not be targeting a top-two finish.
Thomas Frank’s side have been relentless in their pursuit of the automatic promotion spots since the Championship season restarted and they are looking to pressure the likes of Leeds and West Brom, who currently occupy those places.
Jansson said to Sky Sports: “Of course I want to say I’m very convinced and as it looks now, it is very good and very positive, of course. But we know the play-offs are tough. It’s more or less a lottery. But if you go in with that high confidence, hopefully we can do something good about that.
“At the moment, of course there is everyone looking at automatic promotion and we would be stupid not to do that.”

Leeds supporters react to Brentford’s win
Brentford carried on their 100% win-rate since lockdown with a 3-1 victory at Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Ollie Watkins and a brace from Said Benrahma were enough for Frank’s side to move within three points of table-topping Leeds.
Unsurprisingly the Leeds faithful have had plenty to say on the Bees’ victory, with one supporter saying: “Derby played worse than this versus us at Elland Road and we’ve battered them 4 games under Bielsa. Let’s not start the ‘they love playing against us’ narrative again.”
Another said: “Just got to do our thing tomorrow… no pressure we got this”.

Leeds injury and suspension list
Leeds will be without two players for their trip to Swansea City later today.
The Whites have four games between them and the Premier League and the trip to south Wales will prove to be another huge test for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
But they will be without Adam Forshaw, who underwent season-ending surgery on a hip injury in February, and goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, who is still suspended.
However, this is the last game of the Spanish goalkeeper’s suspension, and he will be available for selection for the Barnsley game on Thursday night.
