Former Leeds United defender Alex Bruce believes that Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster is exactly the sort of player his old club should be looking to sign this summer.
According to recent reports, Leeds are eyeing a swoop for the forward this summer after being linked with him in January.
Despite plenty of rumours doing the rounds in January linking Brewster with a loan move to Elland Road, in the end the England youth international joined Swansea City until the end of the season.
And Bruce believes Marcelo Bielsa needs to get more goals into his side and that the Whites should once again pursue the 20-year-old in the upcoming window.
“He’s definitely someone I would be looking at because they need goals,” the former Republic of Ireland international told Football Insider.
“Signing someone like him is definitely something that would tickle any club in my opinion.
“He’s young, he’s hungry, he’s done alright at Swansea, he’s got big potential.
“Those are the sort of players they should be looking at.”
Since joining the Swans in January, Brewster has scored four times in 11 appearances for Steve Cooper’s side.
