Leeds United seal loan exit for out-of-favour full-back not featuring under Marcelo Bielsa

Bryce Hosannah has departed Leeds United and signed a season-long loan deal with League Two Bradford City.

The 21-year-old is yet to make a senior competitive appearance for the Whites after arriving from Crystal Palace in 2017.

Naturally a right-back, Hosannah has found himself playing in central defence more and more across the last 18 months.

Hosannah has become a fixture with the club’s under-23s with first Carlos Corberan and now Mark Jackson, rounding into one of the senior members of that unit.

Unfortunately, he has not made the leap into Marcelo Bielsa’s first team some of his contemporaries have, like Jamie Shackleton, Pascal Struijk, Robbie Gotts and Leif Davis.

While he has been on the bench a handful of times and even formed part of the travelling party to Australia last summer, Bielsa has not trusted Hosannah with pitch time as yet.

Stuart McCall’s Bantams are unbeaten in their opening league matches of the season and have left the number two shirt vacant for a right-back like Hosannah.
