Leeds United's Rodrigo posts injury update on social media

Leeds United are in the midst of one of their worst ever injury crises, with 10 first-team players currently injured.

This situation has provided opportunities for young players such as Joe Gelhardt, who has made his Premier League debut, his first start and scored his first Premier League goal all in the last two months.

However, Marcelo Bielsa would surely like to be able to integrate a player like Gelhardt alongside more of his trusted senior professionals and Rodrigo may be one of those that the Argentine will be able to call upon again in the near future if his social media is anything to go by.

The Spanish forward posted a picture of himself in the Thorp Arch gym on his Instagram and wrote: "Working hard to be back as soon as possible."

Whilst pictures of him in the gym mean he might still have some work to do before being passed fit for murderball and matches, it a least seems that Rodrigo is on the mend.

For now though, Bielsa will be without the man that Leeds paid a record fee of £30 million for this weekend, alongside Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, Jamie Shackleton, Pascal Struijk, Daniel James. Meanwhile Junior Firpo is also absent due to picking up a suspension.

The Whites will hope to have more of these players available for the next run of fixtures after this weekend, when they will play three games in quick succession before the Premier League breaks for the FA Cup.
