Leeds United's promotion permutations as Marcelo Bielsa is tipped to finalise transfers

Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Thursday, July 15.

Leeds United's promotion permutations

Leeds United continue to have their promotion fate in their own hands but, with Brentford showing no signs of letting up, fans will be forgiven for being a bit nervy.

Victory against Barnsley today would put Leeds on the brink of securing a rise to the Premier League and, while they'd still be one-point shy of getting over the line, celebrations could occur as early as tomorrow.

West Brom's clash with Huddersfield Town will be another match where Leeds fans will have their eyes eagerly fixed on as anything less than a win for the Baggies would send Leeds into the promised land.

However, if Leeds were to be held by Barnsley, or even lose, it would leave the promotion race wide-open for all three clubs.

Matheusz Klich's Premier League dream

Leeds United fans are, of course, dreaming of Premier League football at Elland Road next season and Matheusz Klich shares the same aspirations.

As mentioned, Leeds could enter the weekend celebrating and know what they need to do to cross the line, with Klich eyeing his opportunity in the Premier League.

"You never know in football. A couple of years back if you'd told me I could be in the Premier League I'd tell you you were crazy probably. But it's football, everything's possible. I hope my dream comes true. Not only mine but everyone else's."

Leeds tipped to finalise attacking signings

Michael Brown has tipped Marcelo Bielsa to strengthen his attacking ranks in the summer transfer window if Premier League football is secured.

Leeds are within touching distance of the top-flight but questions have been asked about their forward options this season, with Brown expecting the deck to be shuffled.

“Does Bamford need some help at the top of the pitch? For sure, of course he does. As you go into the Premier League you’re probably going to need another couple of attacking players to help the likes of Costa and Bamford," he told Football Insider.

“You’ve got Hernandez behind there who’s got that creativity but they’ll need forward players, you need to score goals in the Premier League and there’ll be a few coming in, I would expect.”
