Leeds United's Premier League opener vs Liverpool selected for TV coverage

Leeds United's first game back in the Premier League will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

The Whites will travel to Anfield to face reigning Premier League champions Liverpool for their first top-flight game in 16 years on Saturday, September 12.

The game was originally pencilled in for a 3:00pm kick-off but will now get underway at the slightly later time of 5:30pm, with the game having been selected for live coverage on Sky Sports.

Leeds' trip to Anfield will be the first time that they have faced Liverpool since November 2016. That occasion saw the Whites knocked out of the League Cup by the Premier League giants, losing 2-0 at Anfield.

The Whites' trip to Anfield is not the only contest of their's to have been selected for TV coverage, with the Yorkshire derby clash against Sheffield United in late-September having also been scheduled for TV coverage.

The trip to Bramall Lane was originally set for a 3:00pm kick-off on Saturday, September 26, but will now take place on Sunday, September 27 with a noon kick-off.

More TV alternations are poised to occur throughout the campaign.
