Leeds quartet’s future becomes clear
Leeds United are battling for promotion to the Premier League and whether they achieve that will likely determine their plans.
Marcelo Bielsa’s future is up in the air after suggestions that he will depart if the Whites fail to secure their spot in the top tier.
But it’s not just the future of Bielsa, the likes of Kemar Roofe, Kalvin Philips and Jack Clarke will all hold contract talks with the club at the end of the season, according to Football Insider .
Leeds are one point adrift of Sheffield United in second, with Norwich City five points clear at the top. How the Whites finish the season will determine once and for all what happens in regards to Bielsa and the aforementioned trio.
However, there is one certainty in and amongst this and that’s what will happen to Laurens De Bock. The left-back is said to be surplus to requirements, according to reports , and he has been told to find a new club.
Norwich City exit
Norwich City forward Steven Naismith is close to joining Hearts on a permanent deal, according to the Daily Record .
Naismith has been on loan with Hearts since last January and his deal with Norwich is set to expire at the end of the campaign.
Hearts are known to be desperate to acquire his services on a long-term deal, with the 32-year-old’s time at Norwich all-but over. It’s understood that Naismith could have moved to the MLS but has instead decided to commit to Hearts.
Blackburn target named
Blackburn Rovers want to sign Charlton Athletic star Patrick Bauer, according to reports .
It’s believed that Blackburn have defensive reinforcements on their mind this summer and Bauer is set to be at the forefront of that search.
Bauer is out of contract at the end of the season and could leave Charlton for free and make the jump up to the Championship.
