Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has shown he can score goals in the Premier League this season and he has now set his sights upon learning a new skill.
Bamford can speak French, Spanish and German to a good standard, plays four instruments and now he wants to pass his knowledge to the next generation.
The 27-year-old has been in fantastic form for Leeds this season, scoring 10 goals in 19 Premier League matches and he has won even more fans through his efforts off the pitch recently.
It was announced recently that Bamford had donated £5,000 of his own money to Beeston Primary School to fund 20 iPads for children currently struggling to access remote learning during the coronavirus lockdown.
Bamford also sent the pupils a video message, urging them to work hard and focus on their studies throughout this difficult period.
Now he has revealed that his donation also included another aspect: a lesson from Patrick Bamford, via video conferencing software.
“I even offered to take a class on Zoom, if they wanted me to just pop in and help the kids’ spirits and stuff,” he told Sky Sports.
“It was one of those things where I felt like it was the right thing to do and ultimately to help out young children. It felt like the right thing.”
Bamford did not say whether Beeston Primary School had taken him up on his kind offer, but his actions have underlined his reputation as a considerate man.
The striker will look to add to his impressive goal tally when Leeds take on Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Leeds ended their three-match winless run last time out when they beat Newcastle United 2-1, but the trip to play Brendan Rodgers' side will test Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
The Foxes are third in the Premier League table and are unbeaten in their last seven league matches since they were beaten 2-0 by Everton on December 16.
