Leeds United's path to Premier League safety - predict the Whites' upcoming fixtures

Despite a 2-1 defeat to Everton in the latest midweek round of Premier League fixtures, Leeds United actually found themselves better off in the table.

Southampton's 9-0 defeat across the Pennines saw the Saints sink below Leeds on goal difference and leaves Marcelo Bielsa's side sitting pretty in 11th place on 29 points having played 21 games.

Survival is the main objective for any newly promoted team and while Leeds will not count their chickens before time, the Whites are in a very commanding position, sitting seven spots and 15 points ahead of the bottom three.

The conventional wisdom is that you need 40 points to avoid the drop, but over the past ten season the league's 18th place finishers have earned just 35.1 points on average.

By that logic, Leeds could be safe in three games' time.

Whites fans know it is unlikely to be that straightforward however after years of being conditioned to the club's regular ups and downs, but how do the club's upcoming fixtures stack up and where will their next points come from?

We've fired up our interactive predictor widget which will allow you to predict how you think the Premier League table will look at the end of March.

You can predict the results of the games between now and then (including all postponed matches that do not have a rearranged date yet, such as Leeds' Elland Road clash with Southampton) using our interactive gadget above to see how the table will look.

And you can share your results with us on Twitter and Facebook and let us know when you think Leeds will hopefully have secured another season of Premier League football
